Jim is a former civil engineer pivoting from building infrastructure to building products. He worked for six years at engineering consultancy, Stantec, designing water infrastructure in Sydney and London. He developed capabilities in systems thinking, data analysis and multi-disciplinary collaboration to solve problems.

Seeking more creative and user-centred ways to develop new technology, he went back to school and completed a Master in Design Engineering at Harvard University. While at school, he launched a health-tech startup with classmates and built a decision-support tool for farmers facing water insecurity.

Now he is building technologies that empower communities.
